Great Hotels of the World, the London-based hotel sales and marketing alliance, has acquired five new member properties to its collection.Shamana Hotel & Spa Bodrum, Mugla Turkey
Shamana Hotel & Spa is located in Torba Bay in the beautiful region of Bodrum.

Café de Oliva serves modern Mediterranean cuisine in an authentic and casual atmosphere where guests can enjoy the Turkish and international wines and liqueurs. The Beach Club offers drink and a light menu to enjoy on the seaside, with entertaining music. Alternatively guests can sample a selection of appetisers inspired by Turkish cuisine at the Vodka-Caviar bar. The spacious lounge terrace is perfect to relax and enjoy stunning views over the gardens and the private beach. Set in the very heart of Shamana Bodrum, the spa brings therapeutic traditions of Ottoman hammam culture together with Indonesian massage.

Cavalieri Hotel, St. Julians, Malta
Cavalieri Hotel is located in a quiet area directly overlooking the popular and picturesque St. Julian’s Bay. The 258 rooms are modern and stylish, with comfortable furnishings, and most of them have balconies where guests can enjoy the open sea views.

The hotel offers a variety of high quality dining and catering options. Ottocento is a panoramic restaurant which serves a variety of cuisines ranging from Maltese and Caribbean to Italian in a unique atmosphere. During the warmer months, Pommarola restaurant offers an original à la carte menu with the essential fresh ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine, on the pool deck. The Baconoir lounge bar is the ideal venue for a special night out. It brings together a unique setting, cocktails and an amazing wine menu. Cavalieri Hotel has its own private lido with a large outdoor swimming pool as well as large sundeck with sun beds, parasols and a children’s padding pool. An indoor swimming pool is heated during winter and a sauna and solarium are available.

Hotel Santos Porta Fira, Barcelona, Spain
Situated in one of Barcelona’s areas of greatest economic expansion, Hotel Santos Porta Fira is considered the best skyscraper in the world and has been awarded the prestigious “Emporis Award 2010” architectural award. Designed by the famous Japanese architect Toyo Ito, the modern and cutting-edge building has 24 floors and a height of 110 metres, making it one of the architectural icons of the city.

The 320 rooms and suites are modern and equipped with the latest technology. The Spiral Restaurant offers a menu designed specifically for each diner in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. An exclusive Wellness Centre is located on the 17th floor offering impressive views over the city. With two sensation showers, a gym, a sauna, an ice fountain and two treatment cubicles, guests will have a chance to relax and rejuvenate. The hotel also features a Japanese garden where private events can be organised.

Iberostar Son Antem Golf Resort & Spa, Majorca, Spain
Majorca’s south coast is the setting for the sublime Iberostar Son Antem Golf Resort & Spa. Built in a traditional Mediterranean style, and imbued with a peaceful atmosphere, this resort has it all. Facilities include two golf courses, a beauty parlour, kids’ pools and playgrounds, an indoor pool, a spa with massage therapies, watersports and more. The El Olivar restaurant serves delicious local and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there are two bars.

Iberostar Mencey Hotel, Tenerife, Spain
Old school glamour and modern luxury live side-by-side at the Iberostar Mencey Hotel. Located in Santa Cruz on the popular island of Tenerife, the Iberostar Mencey has been a favourite with celebrities and high fliers since the 1950s. There is a spa with a range of treatments to pamper and relax, and the hotel offers cookery lessons and other entertainment.
There are two renowned restaurants, a casino, and three bars.

Fun fact: I’m usually the person friends rely on to organise trips, schedules, and group plans.

Workhighlights: Successfully coordinating events from planning through to delivery and seeing everything come together on the day.

Fun fact: I’m a keen cyclist and will happily bore people with copious amounts of cycling chat. My top cycling experience (so far) would have to be riding in the spectacular mountains of Crete.

Work highlights: Charles joined Forum Events in 2022. With a background in publishing, editorial media and events, Charles brings a wealth of experience to his role as Senior Production Manager. Having being involved with SPACE from the outset, he is excited to see the brand grow and develop.

Fun fact: People tell Sienna she gives off Bridget Jones vibes, and she loves to bake, always making sure there are shortbreads floating around the office

Work highlights: Sienna joined Forum Events & Media Group while studying Communications and Media, starting in the sales team where she managed and helped launch the first the PA Life Leading Venues of London SHOWCASE, where she built relationships with luxury venues across the capital. Drawn to the stories behind these spaces, she naturally transitioned into the editorial team, creating social media and editorial content. Upon graduating in June 2026, she is excited to be joining as Assistant Editor for Hotel Designs and SPACE.

Fun fact: When not working, Jess can usually be found tending to her kitchen garden in the Sussex countryside or foraging for herbs in the nearby woods. A keen grower, she recently studied a RHS Level 2 Diploma in the Principles of Horticulture during her spare time.

Work highlights: Jess joined SPACE magazine in 2022 and has since progressed from Assistant Editor to Editor. During this time, she has worked across many aspects of the publication – from shaping editorial strategy and overseeing operations to contributing to art direction and representing the brand on stage at industry events including Surface Design Show and WOW!house.

Alongside her role at SPACE, Jess has built a creative career spanning the arts, culture, design and travel sectors. Prior to joining the magazine, she spent more than a decade in the commercial art industry, in artist liaison, gallery management, and curating collections for the hospitality sector across hotels and cruise ships. During this time, she also worked on freelance projects as a writer, photographer, and creative content producer.
 
Jess studied photojournalism at London College of Communication and the Danish School of Media and Journalism and holds a first-class BA (Hons) in Culture, Criticism and Curation from Central Saint Martins.

Fun fact: Katy has spent years perfecting all kinds of accents and loves a good impersonation!

Work highlights: Katy has been with Hotel Designs since the beginning, way back in 2015 when Forum Events & Media Group acquired the brand.

During this time, she has fostered many meaningful relationships with clients from across the hospitality spectrum, as well as playing a pivotal role in the launch of The Brit List Awards, Hotel Designs MEET UPs, client-led roundtables and panel talks, brand and website redesigns, HD Wellness Sets, DESIGN POD podcast, Hotel Designs LIVE panel talk series, Accessible Design Talks and more. Katy is always on the lookout for the next opportunity to help grow the Hotel Designs brand even further.
 
Most recently Katy has stepped in to the role of Publisher at SPACE magazine, the printed bi-monthly publication focused on hotel design, architecture, and development.
