The 150-bedroom Drayton Manor Park Hotel will meet demand from park visitors, corporate, conference and wedding guests, as well as offering new hospitality facilities to cater to both private and corporate functions. In addition, there will be two restaurants and a coffee shop.Martin, who grew up in Stoke-on-Trent and now lives in Tamworth, has extensive experience within the hotel industry. Martin has worked with Chardon Management for the past 11 years in a number of branded franchised properties, including Holiday Inn and Choice Hotels. Colin Bryan, Managing Director, Drayton Manor Theme Park, comments: “We’re really pleased to welcome Martin in his new role as General Manager of the Drayton Manor Park Hotel. He has worked within the hotel industry for many years and brings a wealth of experience. He will be an asset to the hotel and our team.

“Our hotel has been long-awaited and comes after many years of planning. Construction work to the main build is almost complete and work will soon begin on the internal fit-out and furnishing of the bedrooms, so we’re understandably very excited that the last stages of the countdown to completion have now begun.

Colin concluded: “We are expecting 2011 to be a monumental year as, in addition to the hotel, we will unveil two new rides, Europe’s first Ben 10 themed roller coaster, as well as a new, family-friendly Thomas Land™ ride.”

Martin said: “It’s fantastic to have been involved with the Drayton Manor Park Hotel from day one and see it take shape. I’m really looking forward to the final touches being added and to finally unveiling the hotel to the public and meeting and greeting Drayton Manor’s guests.”

Members of the public who want to take a look at the hotel’s development, or just register their interest in making room reservations can now do so via a special website, www.draytonmanorhotel.com.
