From mid-January to the end of March 2013, the Acquapura SPA & MED at Falkensteiner Schlosshotel Velden underwent extensive extension and rebuilding in line with the vision of the South Tyrolean tourism group. On 29 August 2013, these improvements were presented at an official opening ceremony for the public.Three million euros were invested in the 3,600m² luxury spa, with its private beach club sitting directly by the lake. New highlights include a panoramic garden pool, Finnish outdoor sauna with panoramic windows overlooking the lake, relaxation room with suspended swings, SPA cinema and Medical Spa Centre.
In addition to the extensive Spa facilities, guests staying at the luxury resort at Falkensteiner Schlosshotel Velden will also be able to use the Medical Spa in the future.
The MED SPA specialists to be introduced are Univ. Med. Dr. Christine Hoffmann (aesthetic dermatology), Univ. Med. Dr. Peter Durnig (aesthetic medicine, cosmetic surgery), Univ. Med. Dr. Christian Thuile (prevention concepts and regeneration), as well as Univ. Med. Dr. Elke and Thomas Friessnegger (prevention and regeneration).
The south Tyrolean Bea Mitterhofer from beainteriors is responsible for the interior design of the redesigned Acquapura SPA & MED area.
