Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of a multi-year management agreement with Consorcio Hotelero S.A de C.V for a Doubletree by Hilton full-service hotel in Mexico.Construction of the Doubletree by Hilton, Merida is scheduled for the beginning of this month with expected completed in March 2011.
Situated close to the Merida International Airport, the new Doubletree by Hilton will feature 100 guestrooms and suites, with 3,000sq ft of meeting space, a full-service restaurant, bar, fitness centre and pool.
Global head for Doubletree by Hilton hotels, Rob Palleschi said: “This latest Doubletree by Hilton development in Merida, Mexico represents another positive step in our brand’s growth in Latin America and the Caribbean, joining Doubletree by Hilton hotels and resorts now open in Peru, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico.
