Dernier & Hamlyn has continued its successful partnership with celebrated designer Guy Oliver at The Connaught Hotel with further signature light fittings. The new fittings have been installed to complement its previous support of the hotel’s extensive restoration and refurbishment programme.
Dernier & Hamlyn’s current work at the five star luxury hotel includes a magnificent polished chrome and glass pendant FOR the new ballroom, the first to be built in Mayfair for 80 years.
These fittings combine classic styling with the latest lighting technologies to achieve stunning lighting effects and energy efficiency.
In addition Dernier & Hamlyn produced mid-20th century inspired light fittings designed by Guy Oliver which incorporate classic period geometric shapes and these have been installed in public areas of the hotel.
Guy Oliver said: “Dernier & Hamlyn’s renowned reputation for quality and attention to detail has shone forth again in this latest work at The Connaught. By combining the best in contemporary manufacturing techniques and lighting technology with accurate references to 20th century design, their light fittings are visually beautiful and practical to maintain, both essential requirements at the hotel.”
