Chrysalis Contracts have been receiving fantastic feedback on the back of their recent refurbishment of The Fleming’s Townhouse, Mayfair.

The iconic property consisting of a luxurious 5*hotel and serviced apartments was completed earlier this year in time to accommodate visitors of the London 2012 Olympics. With a brief to create individually designed rooms to give a luxury home from home feel, the Chrysalis designers paid great attention to the finer details to ensure this was achieved to satisfy even the most discerning guests.

Genevieve Blower, Senior Designer at Chrysalis admits “Although somewhat challenging, it was more than a little enjoyable creating a unique scheme for each room within the 5-storey Townhouse. However in doing this, some twenty one schemes were generated overall so it was important to ensure that they blended together seamlessly to carry consistency throughout the building.”

An elegant, harmonious scheme was chosen for the main whilst ensuring that every room had an identity of its own and was truly boutique in style. The ambience of the main lounge areas was enhanced by using a palette of calming pale blues and taupe alongside stronger tones of gold and burnt amber. These combined with rich dark wood furniture pieces and metallic accessories formed a stunning timeless aesthetic. Artwork specified included large scale original painted canvas pieces and framed prints such as vintage maps of London and iconic city landmarks to re-enforce the hotel’s heritage. The bedrooms offer a collection of various finishes, some with a more mature palette of sage green and claret with dark wenge wood finishes and others with rich royal blues and mellow gold tones.

Using an eclectic mix of classical furniture, decorative objects, bespoke embroideries, textured rugs and original commissioned artwork, a luxuriously refined scheme was created whilst also giving the impression that the individual pieces could have been accumulated over time – as would be the case in your own home.

Genevieve added “It’s always nice to work on a highly publicised project such as Fleming’s Townhouse. With the great comments and feedback we have been receiving over the past couple of months, it’s overwhelming to know we have made such a positive impact on one of London’s oldest hotels.”
