Centra Central Station Hotel Bangkok, which soft-opened in July this year, is fully operational as of 24 October 2013.The newly-built hotel, the star of the Centra value brand of Centara Hotels & Resorts, is located within a few minutes’ walking distance of the Hua Lamphong mainline railway terminus, and is at the beginning of Chinatown’s main thoroughfare of Yaowaraj.

“Our Centra value brand, which we launched in 2010, is proving to be very successful and we are proud to be opening the star property in this brand at such a prominent location in Bangkok,” says Thirayuth Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer of Centara Hotels & Resorts.

“The hotel is ideally located for anyone travelling by rail to anywhere in Thailand, or who is using the MRT Metro, or who is exploring and shopping in the historic Chinatown district.

“Initial response during the soft-opening phase has been extremely favourable, and we are very happy indeed now to be announcing the date at which the hotel will become fully operational.”

Centra brand properties are design to provide Centara’s distinctive service and standards but not to over-deliver on facilities that may not be required by guests.

Other Centra brand hotels open to date are at Government Complex in Bangkok’s Chaeng Watthana district, Patong in Phuket, Thong Tanote Beach on the southwestern tip of Samui, and Seminyak in Bali.

Centra Central Station Bangkok has 150 rooms and suites, all designed in a light and modern décor, and is designed for individual travellers, small families, and groups of friends.

The Superior and Premium category rooms are equipped with twin beds for the convenience of families or those sharing, while the Suites provide both a king bed and two twin beds.

The hotel’s all-day restaurant is Station Café, serving Thai and international dishes from an open kitchen and with views directly across to Hua Lamphong railway terminus.

Chyna, which will serve authentic Cantonese cuisine in a contemporary fashion, with an extensive list of creative desserts and a Tea Bar with a large array of Chinese teas, will become operational with the full opening of the hotel.

Gler serves light refreshments to guests in the hotel’s tranquil relaxation area.

Guests can relax at Cense by Spa Cevaree, which has a menu of traditional massage and therapeutic treatments, and workout at Cenfit, the hotel’s fitness centre, which has a sauna and steam rooms.

Centra Central Station Bangkok is also well located for business meetings, seminars, receptions and other events, and the hotel has five meeting rooms fully supported by conference and presentation equipment such as LCD projectors and screens, together with wireless internet access.
