The Best Western tartan dream is alive and well as the Buchanan Arms Hotel and Spa in Loch Lomond joined the group this week, making it the second Scottish hotel to do so this month.

The newly named Best Western Buchanan Arms Hotel and Spa, seamlessly balances its 17th century history with 21st century facilities. As a former coaching inn and later farm house with original features, 52 bedrooms, grand gardens and a stunning view of Loch Lomond this hotel is certainly packed with personality. In the heart of the picturesque conservation village of Drymen, this quality three star hotel is perfect for those wanting a relaxing break – or equally an action packed one too! For starters it offers a 14 metre pool, gym, dance studio and squash court, and if that’s not enough it’s also within perfect distance of the West Highland Way boasting plenty of outdoor activities to keep the athlete in you energised.

After all that excitement what better way to relax those weary legs than in the hotels own Moroccan themed Haven Spa complete with sauna, steam room and spa bath. And, if you want any beauty treatments all you have to do is ask!

Volker Steinnemann, operations director of the Best Western Buchanan Arms Hotel and Spa says, “We are very pleased to be joining such a proactive and modern marketing group of hotels. Best Western allows us to have the best of both worlds by maintaining ownership and management with the additional benefits a global brand brings.”

Best Western is the largest group of independently owned and managed hotels, with over 270 across Great Britain. Members are required to meet strict criteria and are regularly inspected to ensure consistent quality and service.

Keith Pope, Director of Best Western added: “The Buchanan Arms Hotel and Spa is a fantastic addition to our portfolio of hotels with personality. It is in a great location and will appeal to a wide range of guests so we expect this to be a very popular destination.”

The independently owned hotel has gained around 270 likeminded new peers by joining the group, including the Best Western Balgeddie House Hotel in Fife who joined this month.
