Newly opened in February, Jamie’s Italian Nottingham is the latest opening in the hugely successful chain of Italian restaurants from the world famous celebrity chef. This award-winning concept features a vibrant blend of innovation, theatre, efficient service, atmosphere and great food.Andy Thornton Ltd was delighted to work on the project with internationally acclaimed design practice Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, following on from previous successful collaborations with the designers. For the newest Jamie’s Italian site, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio specified a mixture of furniture from Andy Thornton’s extensive contract range, including traditional style farmhouse side chairs and bespoke stick back side chairs in oak, another classic farmhouse-style design. The company also supplied bespoke high tables with metal studded edging detail, designed by MBDS.
Jamie’s Italian Nottingham also features pieces from Andy Thornton’s vast stock of architectural antiques, including an original 1.7m high copper Calvados distiller dating from the late 19th century and a reclaimed industrial-style metal cabinet. These unique touches from Andy Thornton reflect the decor and ethos of Jamie’s Italian – appealingly informal and unpretentious; a place where everyone feels comfortable.
