Real wood veneer laminates in Cherry and Mahogany with Zebrano and Tiger wood offered to the suites. A large circular bed will form the centre piece to these rooms. The hotel will be a high four star standard and is seeking to attract the business and conference markets as well as leisure users. The theme park currently has over a million visitors a year.
The Hotel will open this summer in time for the thrill seekers who go to experience the rides at one of the UK’s largest theme parks. The theme park is owned by the Bryan family and was started in 1949 by the founders, George Bryan OBE and his wife Vera Bryan. This still remains a family owned and run business by Colin Bryan and his two sons. The planning consent for the hotel has taken 10 years to pass through and today you can see, in conjunction with the theme park, the hotel has a magical theme to the architect.
The hotel will bring much needed employment to the area with some members of staff being asked to dress up as the characters from the Thomas and Friends, as you will expect to be greeted at the entrance by the ‘Fat Controller’.
