Responding to growing demand for sculptural bathroom pieces and wellness-led interiors, Victoria + Albert has expanded its Kerid collection with a new floorstanding podium basin…
Designed by the brand’s in-house UK team, the Kerid podium basin features a minimalist monolithic form with a chamfered base detail that creates the appearance of a floating form, echoing the geometry of the Kerid soaking bath.
Available in either a gloss or velvety matt finish, which diffuses light beautifully, the new Kerid podium basin can also be specified in any of 200 RAL exterior colours, allowing designers to coordinate with wider interior palettes or introduce a contrasting statement element. Each finish is multi-layered using a special catalysed paint and hand-polished between applications to achieve exceptional depth and consistency.

Renowned for exceptional design and meticulous attention to detail, Victoria + Albert developed its own proprietary material, Quarrycast 30 years ago. Made from a blend of Volcanic Limestone and high-performance resins, the material is exceptionally strong and durable – twice as hard as acrylic, with no creaking or flexing. Scratch, stain and UV resistant, the material is also a natural insulator and easy to maintain.
While the material is hardy, it is surprisingly lightweight for easy installation. Made to last, Victoria + Albert basins benefit from a 25-year consumer guarantee and eight-year commercial and business use guarantee.
The new podium basin complements the wider Kerid collection, which centres around the Kerid bath, which reimagines wellness bathing through a compact, sculptural form designed for deep soaking and cold-water immersion. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings, its elevated sides and integrated seat create a cocooning full-body experience within a minimal footprint.
Crafted from Victoria + Albert’s proprietary Quarrycast material, Kerid is lightweight, highly durable, UV resistant and resilient to temperature extremes, enabling flexible specification across residential, hospitality and wellness projects. Its distinctive design and versatile placement offer architects and designers new opportunities to create immersive wellness spaces where room is limited.
The Kerid bath is available with complementary accessories, including two basins and an optional bath step, alongside specification options such as an antibacterial anti-slip coating for hospitality and multi-residential projects.
