In the centre of Northern California’s largest city, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has announced the opening of The Westin San Jose.

The historic 171-room hotel has undergone a guestroom, corridor, lobby and public space transformation, encompassing modern features with historical elements.

In the lobby, original mouldings on the ceilings have been preserved to highlight the early 1900s architecture whilst the subtle Westin branding offers a soft colour palate and vertical garden.

Located adjacent to the lobby, the Il Fornaio restaurant offers private dining room space for small groups, making it convenient for both business and social gatherings. Il Fornaio also features award-winning catering options, making The Westin San Jose a superior wedding venue.

Each of the 171 luxurious rooms and suites feature The Westin Heavenly Bed® and Bath, complimentary high speed Internet access and large flat screen TVs.

The hotel is equipped with 10,000 square feet of meeting space, including the Grande Ballroom which features vintage 1920s chandeliers, complemented by wall sconces, mirrored walls, crown moulding and wooden borders. Connecting French doors lead to the covered atrium, where food can be catered by the on-site restaurant.
