Travelodge opens Walthamstow’s first branded value hotel

    Travelodge has opened the first branded value hotel in the heart of Walthamstow’s town centre. The new 107-room property, which represents a £9 million investment is located at Station Approach and has created 19 new jobs within the community. The new hotel development is part of a £20 million regeneration project to help revitalize Walthamstow Central Station.

    The hotel was officially opened by The Worshipful the Mayor of Waltham Forest, Councillor Terry Wheeler and Travelodge’s Revenue Director, Tom Edwards at an opening ceremony.

    The opening of Walthamstow Travelodge will boost the Company’s London portfolio of hotels to 61 and nationwide to 513.

    Walthamstow Travelodge has been designed in the Company’s new brand style which includes a new luxury king size bed called the Travelodge Dreamer. This type of bed is predominately used by luxury hotel brands worldwide.

    Walthamstow Travelodge offers a range of family, double and accessible rooms.

    A Travelodge family room in Walthamstow caters for either two adults and two children or three adults. Each room has en-suite facilities with eco-friendly showers, toiletries, a flat screen TV with 18 free digital channels, free tea and coffee making facilities and up to 30 minutes free Wi-Fi. Guests can purchase a 24 hour Wi-Fi service for just £3.00.

    The hotel also has an onsite Bar Café which offers a breakfast, dinner and bar service.
