The treasured architectural gem, Capitol Building, and its stately Victorian neighbour, Stamford House, will be unveiled in the third quarter of this year as the new ultra-luxury hotel, The Patina, Capitol Singapore. Distinguishing itself through its focus on bespoke services, the new hotel is also an integral component of Capitol Singapore, the city’s first integrated luxury lifestyle development, which encompasses an exclusive 32-unit residential tower, a premium retail mall offering exciting new-to-market brands, and world class cinematic and theatrical entertainment at the newly reinvigorated Capitol Theatre.Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate Richard Meier is credited with rejuvenating the two iconic buildings to function as a bridge between past and present. His sensitivity to their venerable status, rooted in his respect for heritage, is combined with his flair for introducing contemporary perspectives. The result is an innovative masterpiece of beautifully conserved architecture integrated with refreshing modern touches. Thoughtful, intricate details that deliver a refreshed present while celebrating the past are reflected through luxurious interiors conceptualised by Jaya International Design.

Location
The Patina, Capitol Singapore is located in the heart of the city’s downtown Civic and Cultural district, with close proximity to dynamic landmarks and arts venues such as the National Gallery, the Singapore Art Museum, the Esplanade and the Marina Bay area. It is conveniently accessible, being a mere 17-minute (18.2km) drive from the Singapore Changi Airport and a 2-minute walk to City Hall MRT station.

Guest Room Features
Impeccably designed, all rooms and suites are luxurious oases where guests enjoy complimentary features such as WiFi, two iPads per room, unlimited outgoing international calls, mini bar refreshments including still and sparkling water, soft drinks and juices, Aesop bath amenities, Nespresso coffee and a TWG tea collection, as well as being transported to the location of choice with the hotel’s courtesy car service.

The 157 rooms and suites of the hotel are shared across the Capitol and Stamford Wings, in Capitol Building and Stamford House respectively. The neoclassical-style Capitol Wing comprises 101 rooms and 5 suites, while the elegantly Victorian Stamford Wing comprises 49 rooms and 18 suites including the Bidwell Suite and Patina Suite.

A 24-hour stay promise is extended to guests who book a stay in the Stamford Rooms, and any of our Stamford, Bidwell and Patina Suites, where they can enjoy an exclusive 24-hour stay regardless the time they check in to ensure that they receive the full rest desired.

The usual procedure of check-in is elevated to the realm of personal comfort and privacy at The Patina, Capitol Singapore where guests are accompanied to their rooms for direct check-in.
In addition, books from luxury book craftsmen Assouline, emphasising on art, design, architecture, fashion, photography and travel, will be placed in all guest rooms, and can be purchased through the assistance of the hotel’s ambassadors.

The luxury Patina lifestyle extends further to offer a holistic retreat. Guests will be able to rejuvenate with restorative treatments using BABOR products at one of the three treatment suites at the Patina Spa, maintain a workout regime at the Fitness Suite, and lounge back for a refreshing afternoon break at the outdoor saltwater relaxation pool.

Gourmet Experiences
A novel gourmet experience awaits food aficionados through the three concepts of restaurant, bar and chocolate boutique introduced at The Patina, Capitol Singapore.

The city will experience innovative cuisine that melds tastes of the Peruvian Amazon with the delicacy of Japanese flavours at the signature restaurant, ERU. Conceptualised by New York design firm AvroKO, ERU provides diners with the opportunity to see chefs work their magic with its open concept kitchen. For enhanced intimacy, diners can host gatherings and business meetings at the restaurant’s three private dining rooms.

ERUBAR extends the Peruvian theme where guests will sample the speciality Peruvian brandy, Pisco, and a range of signature cocktails by the resident mixologist, as well as taste Peruvian style tapas while DJs spin into the night.

Chocolate connoisseurs will be in paradise at chocolate atelier PURE & Co. where they can pick up beautifully packaged artisanal chocolates as decadent gifts or indulgent treats.
