John Portman & Associates is pleased to report progress on the construction of the new dual-branded Marriott hotel complex in San Diego.Once completed, the project will extend the public realm vertically, allowing for great views of the San Diego Bay and the events that occur along the waterfront.
The dual-branded Marriott property will open in 2016
As a nod to the history of the site as the former location of the Lane Field ballpark, the retail and terrace spaces step in such a way as to recall the bleachers of old.
On schedule to open in 2016, the project will feature a 253-key SpringHill Suites and a 147-key Residence Inn.
