Gallery Direct’s attention to detail is plain to see and has established them as leaders in the furniture and home décor market for a number of years. Their use of high quality materials, strict manufacturing techniques and rigorous control measures means quality shines, throughout their entire product range. With their award winning design-led ethos, Gallery has always looked forward to the future, predicting trends and continuing to stay ahead of up-and-coming interior styles. Innovative designs, coupled with traditional and modern manufacturing methods, create classic and contemporary furniture and home décor collections, that suit modern-day interiors.

Gallery has grown since 1973 to become a leading British-based designer, manufacturer and worldwide distributor of home décor and furniture. With over 40 years of manufacturing expertise, Gallery has extensive knowledge and experience putting quality central, every time. Couple this with the wealth of expertise brought to the company by the Frank Hudson acquisition, it is easy to see how Gallery now offers such an outstanding range of high quality, yet value focused products.

Mirrors, soft furnishings, home accessories and furniture are all designed and produced to the highest quality and safety standards, whilst painstaking attention to detail ensures they all products stand out from the crowd.
Examples can be seen throughout the 2015 Gallery catalogue.

For example, the Frank Hudson’s furniture collection is beautifully constructed and meticulous hand finished, using traditional skills to create wonderful high quality details. Intricate dovetail jointing is a joy to see when opening drawers and beautiful marquetry inlays are created using the finest selected veneers. Highly skilled craftsmen use the art of precise polishing, hand antiquing and specialist finishing techniques, with future generations learning the skills needed to take them from apprentice to master craftsman.

Cabinet handles are hand-cast using the traditional ‘lost wax’ method to create the mould – this process is used on only the finest handle creations. Hand-woven cane, linen cotton produced on traditional looms and beautiful hand carved wooden bedsteads underlines some of the highest specifications around; quality and attention to detail that is second to none and sets their furniture apart from the norm.

“The Gallery team take quality control extremely seriously; it really is what differentiates Gallery from the competition”, commented Tom Hudson, QA Technical & Compliance Manager. “Gallery have significant quality assurance infrastructure across all our manufacturing sites, warehousing and distribution to deliver fine quality products, well made, and protected with strong packaging.”

“Gallery however wants to continuously improve; the important part of this is to actively listen to customers and act on their feedback, making positive steps and changes, where appropriate. Don’t just give lip service, but deliver real service!”

Gallery’s Hudson Living furniture collection offers design led personality pieces that combine the best of traditional craftsmanship with new technology and exciting materials. Lloyd Loom style chairs are produced in the traditional Lloyd Loom method of weaving paper around wire, whilst the Brooklyn range features solid French Oak with a brushed, dry oiled finish and ground concrete resin tops, each with a unique surface, floated on by hand.

Quality and durability are considered in the design of each piece. Architectural veneers are used on the Hamilton Pedestal dining tables; thicker than conventional veneers, these architectural veneers are used to ensure strength and durability, as well as giving a stunning look. Top grain leather, feather topped seats for ultra comfort, hand beaten copper and soft close drawer runners are just some of the other features found across the range.

Final comment goes to Tom Hudson. “Quality is never by chance; it’s always a result of genuine determination, hard work, intelligent direction and skilful manufacturing performance, and represents an astute choice over many other alternatives.”

Whichever collection you look at from Gallery, the design and quality always shines out.
