Defined by its attitude rather than its affordability, Moxy Hotels will redesign the traditional economy hotel experience, allowing guests to work, play, connect and enjoy – all in contemporary and comfortable style. With its tech-enabled rooms, buzzy lobby and friendly price point, Moxy aims to surprise budget-conscious travellers with a thoughtful, spirited and fun guest experience. Opening on 1 September 2014, the new Moxy Milan will formally introduce the youthful mindset of Moxy Hotels to the world.

Lobby
Arriving into a bright, airy lobby, guests are given a warm welcome by the crew as they enjoy a hassle free check-in experience. The interiors emulate a boutique hotel as they successfully fuse refined and raw materials, organic and linear lines, and public with private spaces. The lobby space comfortably blends colours and shapes with modern and contemporary furniture. Guests can relax in the inviting lounge space, pick up a book from the hotel library, connect to social media and catch up with friends.

The Lounge
Concrete polished floors, walls lined with intriguing art, ambient lighting and comfortable accents of colour that contrast yet complement are all part of the Moxy Milan lounge experience. A high-energy yet cosy space for gatherings, special events or simply cocktails, the lounge plays host to eclectic upbeat music that sets just the right mood.

Stay
At the Moxy Milan, getting to your room is half the fun. From the lobby, guests enter a lift designed as a shower, accented by a bright pink neon handrail and curious, bold graphics. Nothing is what it seems at the Moxy. The 162 comfortable guest rooms are each outfitted with sound-reducing walls, 42” LCD flat screen televisions, free WI-FI, snug bedding and deep-seated armchairs in calming, neutral fabrics. Every room makes a statement with a spirited floor to ceiling art piece. The design is functional and uncluttered with simple, thoughtful touches including glass shelving and open closet spaces. Bathrooms feel luxurious with power showers and large mirrors alongside spacious vanity areas featuring complimentary Rituals toiletries.

24/7 Café
Self-service has never been so appealing or convenient. The Moxy café offers plentiful, beautifully presented food and drink options including fresh juices, a coffee bar or a ready-mixed Tails cocktail in its own unique cocktail shaker. Guests can enjoy sandwiches to go or order custom-made salads from the staffed station. For heartier fare, daily options such as chicken tagine or beef rendang will be offered. Cocktails, craft beers and speciality wines will be served in the evening.

Five further Moxy hotels are expected to open in Europe by the end of 2015 – four hotels in Germany; Munich, Frankfurt and two in Berlin and also one in Oslo, Norway. Moxy Hotels is projected to reach 150 hotels within the next ten years.
