Under a management agreement with Financière Immobilière Bordelaise, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the signing of the InterContinental® Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel, France.
Opening later in 2015, the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa will be refurbished over the next few months and, once opened, will cement IHG’s position as the largest luxury hotel brand in Europe. InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand will join InterContinental® Paris – Le Grand, InterContinental® Paris – Avenue Marceau, InterContinental® Marseille – Hotel Dieu, InterContinental® Carlton Cannes, and most recently InterContinental® Lyon – Hotel Dieu.
The historic 130 bedroom property dates back to 1776 and occupies a prime location on Place de la Comédie, Bordeaux’s central square.
Le Pressoir D’Argent, the hotel’s food and beverage offering, will be overseen by the Gordon Ramsay Group as it makes its first foray into Bordeaux. The fine dining restaurant will serve only the finest seasonal ingredients, along with expertly matched wines from the region.
The hotel is well equipped to meet the needs of business and leisure guests travelling to the city, offering seven meeting rooms, an indoor pool as well as fitness, spa and hammam facilities will be available.
