IHG Grows the Holiday Inn Express® Brand in Luxury Ski Market

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Express® Snowmass Village hotel. As the newest addition to IHG hotels in Colorado, this four story hotel features 145 guest rooms and six suites. Situated at the base of Snowmass Mountain, it is only a two minute walk from the hotel to ski lift access. Due to its desirable Colorado location, this hotel appeals to avid skiers and snowboarders in the winter as well as hikers and mountain bikers in the warmer months of the year. Heather Balsley, senior vice president, Americas Core Brands & Brand Operations, IHG, commented: “Given its prime location in a popular ski market, the Holiday Inn Express Snowmass Village hotel will be a great destination for outdoor sport enthusiasts who want to spend more time on the mountain than in their room. All guest rooms have been updated and have a wide variety of amenities including iPod docking stations, large under-bed trundle drawers, cubbies for ski gear and a place to hang skis. The hotel also features a heated outdoor pool, two hot tubs, a 24-hour fitness center and more than 1,100 square feet of meeting space. Guest rooms feature contemporary styling, comfortable queen, king-sized or two double beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair and an in-room coffee machine featuring complimentary Smart Roast™ 100% Arabica coffee.

The Holiday Inn Express Snowmass Village hotel, located at 40 Elbert Lane in Snowmass Village, is managed by HEI Hotels & Resorts and is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.

Fun fact: When not working, Jess can usually be found tending to her kitchen garden in the Sussex countryside or foraging for herbs in the nearby woods. A keen grower, she recently studied a RHS Level 2 Diploma in the Principles of Horticulture during her spare time.

Prior to joining the magazine, she spent more than a decade in the commercial art industry, in artist liaison, gallery management, and curating collections for the hospitality sector across hotels and cruise ships. During this time, she also worked on freelance projects as a writer, photographer, and creative content producer.
 
Jess studied photojournalism at London College of Communication and the Danish School of Media and Journalism and holds a first-class BA (Hons) in Culture, Criticism and Curation from Central Saint Martins.
