Luxury award-winning bed manufacturer Hypnos, which specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of hospitality beds, has seen increased demand for its large format upholstered headboards due to the rise in boutique hotels and boutique style. With the popularity of boutique hotels showing no signs of abating, the company, which holds a royal warrant, has designed a range of show stopping tall headboards, which include the Katherine, Vienna and Elizabeth headboard, to meet the demand for stylish yet practical beds. This latest collection of headboards is available in a range of styles and sizes, with standard heights from the floor ranging from 1.3M to1.6M.

Chris Ward, Marketing Director at Hypnos, comments: “With the boutique hotel sector now accounting for 6.1% of the market*, there’s much more emphasis on the atmosphere, appearance and design of a guest room. It’s not enough to have a great look, everything needs to be tied together throughout the room to create a unified interior.

“More and more hoteliers are creating beds which are the focal point of the room and really have that wow factor and impact. Our large format headboards, which run all the way to the floor to create a striking look, seem to be a hugely popular choice for creating this effect.

“But it’s not just the smaller boutique hotels that favour this look. We’ve also noticed that large scale hotels are tapping into this trend and trying to recreate the boutique look with a designer headboard and divan base upholstered in matching fabric.

“Our luxurious collection enhances the look of the bed and compliments our sumptuous mattresses. Hypnos prides itself on working with our customers to design and produce bespoke beds that are unique to their needs, helping them to ensure their guests always get the best night’s sleep possible.”

Alongside this stylish new range of headboards, which all comply with Crib 5 Fire Retardancy regulations, Hypnos’ specialist Contract Division offers a bespoke service to ensure the beds are not only supremely comfortable, practical, durable and meet stringent safety requirements, but will also meet the stylish and chic requirements of a boutique hotel guest room. Furthermore the team also offers a complete project management solution, from design, delivery and in-room installation to a disposal and recycling service for old beds.
