Currently under construction in Washington’s district of Renton is the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport. Due for completion in 2017, the hotel will be located on a 5.5-acre lakefront site offering stunning panoramic views of Downtown Seattle, the Olympic Mountains and Mt. Rainer. In a tribute to the Seattle Seahawk’s 12th Man, the hotel will rise 12 storeys high and honours the 12s – the given name for the team’s loyal fans. As part of a mixed-use development, the hotel will feature alongside luxury apartments, three office towers, and retail space and the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport is envisioned to be the premier hotel on Lake Washington.

Each of the hotel’s 347 rooms, including 31 suites, will be configured to enhance business and leisure with seamless connectivity. Glass art wall structures and local art will feature throughout the hotel to infuse the beauty of the hotel’s surroundings and views of Lake Washington into the design.

“The City of Renton strongly supports the development of a waterfront hotel. Once constructed, this Hyatt Regency hotel will serve as a critical catalyst for the emerging South Lake Washington neighbourhood. This new development will have a positive impact on our region’s employment base as well as demand for business services, tourism, and convention business,” said City of Renton Mayor Denis Law.

Dining options will include a waterfront restaurant and bar with outdoor terrace, as well as private dining rooms. A residentially inspired display kitchen will be integrated directly within the guest event area.

43,000 square feet of meeting and pre-function space, including a 15,000 square foot Grand Ballroom, a junior ballroom and eight meeting rooms will be available to guests. For events al fresco, planners and guests can take their meetings outside to the hotel’s expansive outdoor, Northwest garden-landscaped event terraces of up to 12,000 square feet that overlook Lake Washington.

In addition, there will be a VIP lounge area known as the Regency Club®, a full service spa, fitness centre, and an indoor pool.
