Hilton Worldwide’s DoubleTree by Hilton brand has expanded its presence in Italy with the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Venice North. The 203 guest room hotel is the latest addition to the upscale brand’s rapidly expanding portfolio and joins recent DoubleTree by Hilton key European openings in London, Moscow and Warsaw. The hotel operates under a franchise agreement with owner D Hotels srl.Guests at DoubleTree by Hilton Venice North will be welcomed with the brand’s signature CARE Culture – which stands for Create a Rewarding Experience for guests, team members and the community, and focuses on the personal touches which make for an enjoyable and rejuvenating stay.

“We’re extremely proud of the rich variety of DoubleTree by Hilton hotels and the remarkable impression they have made on the European market, where we now have in excess of 50 hotels trading,” said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “Venice has a reputation for quality and design, and DoubleTree by Hilton Venice North’s contemporary aesthetic celebrates its location, providing an oasis from which guests can explore Venice and the surrounding countryside.”

Designed by celebrated architects DHK Architects, Marco Piva and M2 Atelier, DoubleTree by Hilton Venice North features a sweeping glass exterior, landscaped courtyard, and the comfortable interior touches for which the brand is known, including the Sweet DreamsTM by DoubleTree Sleep Experience and a warm chocolate chip cookie, presented to every guest on check in.

Antonio Barbieri, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Venice North, said, “Having completed the final finishing touches to the hotel, we are very pleased to welcome our first guests. The hotel’s location means that guests can easily enjoy the region’s many attractions, including sampling prosecco at local wineries, designer shopping at Noventa di Piave, and golf at Villa Condlumer. The hotel shuttle service provides a convenient connection between the hotel and the historic city of Venice.”

Guests travelling for business purposes will be served by the hotel’s modular conference centre, which is arranged over 1,300 square metres, with an additional 510 metres of flexible working space. Larger business groups and private functions will be catered to in the hotel’s sleek banqueting space, which can comfortably accommodate up to 360 guests. Venice has established itself as a premium events location, host to the world famous Biennale and a broad range of large scale meetings and events.

After a busy day of exploring, guests staying at the hotel can unwind in the Turkish and outdoor pools, or take advantage of the 24 hour fitness centre. Chefs at Arco, the hotel’s restaurant, specialise in preparing fresh, modern Italian dishes which make the most of Italy’s superior produce.
