Daish’s Holidays, the chain of hotels on the south coast of England and Isle of Wight and Group Travel Awards Most Group-Friendly Hotel Chain 2014, has completed a £1 million refurbishment of its flagship Daish’s Hotel.Situated in Shanklin, the Daish’s Hotel is currently the only hotel on the Isle of Wight to have been refurbished this scale.
The company has improved all 72 of the hotel’s bedrooms as well as its Tally Ho bar. It has added a coffee shop, where guests can enjoy light snacks and overlook the hotel’s garden and terrace.

Originally an 18th century coaching inn, the Daish’s Hotel has been welcoming guests for hundreds of years. It gained a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2013. Today, the hotel retains its period features, yet gains the facilities people expect in a modern destination.

Attracting 2.6 million visitors a year, the Isle of Wight is one of England’s most popular holiday destinations. Guests return year after year to Daish’s Hotel to enjoy the picturesque town of Shanklin and Daish’s popular excursions.

These include trips to:
• Owl and Monkey Haven
• West Wight – including the Isle of Wight Pearl Factory, The Needles Park at Alum Bay and Yarmouth
• East Wight – including Waltzing Waters, Ryde Town and Rosemary Vineyard
• Steam Railway
• Osborne House & Godshill
• Amazon World Zoo
• Blackgang Chine

Daish’s Holidays has enjoyed consistent month-on-month growth since October 2013. In October 2014, traditionally its quietest month, the business achieved 99% occupancy across its hotels.

Daish’s Holidays, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2014, runs over 80,000 holidays annually. The standard five-day holiday package comprises four nights’ accommodation with a full English breakfast, three course evening meal and nightly entertainment. The optional excursions give guests the choice of sightseeing or relaxing around the hotel grounds. Self-drive holiday options, at a slightly lower cost, are also available.
