Further to the news that Ilya Pukhaev has joined Chelsom as their exclusive Russian agent, the international Chelsom expansion continues with the appointment of Roberto Granda as their official representative for the United Arab Emirates.Roberto has an extensive background within both the hospitality and contract furnishings market spanning 18 years, the last 8 of which he has spent in the Middle East mainly as part of the team at Richmond Enterprises, an FF&E company based in Dubai covering the Middle Eastern market for a number of European contract companies. The new appointment accompanies a significant growth period for Chelsom within the UAE and a series of high profile hospitality projects including Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa, Sheraton Creek Dubai, Rosewood Abu Dhabi and Langham Seaview Club Dubai.

Roberto brings with him an impressive knowledge of the international hospitality marketplace where he has specialised in implementing successful sales networks, in particular across the UAE with his recent portfolio including exclusive projects such as Royal Mirage, Ritz Carlton in Dubai, Yas Rotana in Abu Dhabi and Novotel in Makkah. Roberto says “I am extremely pleased to be joining the Chelsom team and to be adding lighting to my contract knowledge. During my career in the hospitality marketplace I have understood that providing first class client service is paramount to any business relationship. I want to add that first class service to Chelsom’s ever growing reputation for superior design and quality out here in the UAE. Having had a preview of the 2014 collection I am even more excited about working with one of the leading global hospitality lighting suppliers.”

Sales Director Philip Macaulay said: “We are delighted that Roberto has accepted the position of Chelsom’s principal representative for the UAE. He may be new to the lighting industry but is extremely knowledgeable about the worldwide contract furnishings sector, and in particular the UAE marketplace and I am sure he will be extremely successful in this role. He is certainly joining us at what is pivotal time for the company with a rebrand and the launch of our new collection weeks away and a number of significant projects in production across the UAE.”
