Karisma Hotels & Resorts, who opened their first resort on the island with the Sensatori Jamaica in Negril, has recently announced that construction is currently underway for a neighbouring hotel– Azul Seven.The hotel will have 149 rooms after an investment of $45 million. In a welcome boost to the local economy, Azul Seven will bring 328 direct and 197 indirect jobs to the area. The construction of Azul Seven builds upon the success of Sensatori Jamaica, which sold out out for the entire year less than a month after opening and the announcement of an expansion of an additional 149 suites at this spectacular property.
In addition to this, Karisma Hotels & Resorts have now announced the acquisition of Llandovery, an area on the north coast of the island encompassing 228 acres and has access to more than a mile of pristine beachfront.
* This 8 to 10-year project when completed will bring 4,000 additional rooms to the island and an investment that will surpass US $900 million
* Karisma intends to develop a total of nine hotels over the next decade
* This project will represent approximately 8,000 new job opportunities in direct employment and around 5,000 in indirect employment
* As a part of Llandovery, Karisma expects to bring new international brands to Jamaica and estimate the first hotel will open in 2017-2018
