DoubleTree by Hilton has celebrated the opening of its first hotel & spa in Liverpool, which is housed in the Municipal Annexe building, a unique, recently-restored Grade II listed building in the heart of the city. Steeped in history, the stylish property has been given a contemporary finish while retaining all the grandeur of the original construction which dates back to 1865. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Liverpool offers 87 guestrooms and suites, against a backdrop of sweeping staircases, Italian mosaic floors and original Corinthian columns.

The hotel opening marks the arrival of the second eforea spa in the UK, with a menu of treatments designed to help guests ‘emerge brighter’ from their spa experience, feeling renewed, uplifted and refreshed. Spa facilities include six treatment rooms, plus a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and 24-hour fitness suite.

In addition, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Liverpool boasts Michelin-starred Jean- Christophe Novelli’s only UK restaurant. The 130-seater Jean-Christophe at Michelle Brasserie offers a French brasserie style menu, and will also serve the lounge, conference rooms and banqueting areas at the hotel.

All guest rooms offer the comfort of a king or queen size bed, fridge, secure safe and a 37 inch LCD television. Six suites offer a separate living area with an additional LCD television, pull-out sofa and complimentary mini-bar as well as a separate bathtub and walk-in rain shower. The Presidential Suite has the added benefits of a walk-in wardrobe and original 19th century architectural features, giving it the feel of a small boutique apartment. The bathroom also features an amazing wet room with double steam shower, heated seating, large roll-top bath and twin basins.

The Library Lounge is the perfect spot to enjoy afternoon tea or a glass of Champagne, while three conference and event suites can accommodate up to 250 delegates for weddings, banqueting and meetings.

As with all DoubleTree by Hilton properties, the hotel will participate in the Hilton HHonors guest loyalty programme, and members will be able to earn and redeem points with each stay. For the first three months of opening, the hotel will be giving members the opportunity to earn double points for their stay. Diamond members will also receive a complimentary upgrade.

The opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Liverpool is the latest milestone in Doubletree’s impressive trajectory, alongside the recently-opened DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London – Docklands Riverside and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nottingham — Gateway.
