Parkside is a contemporary porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tile specification company with more than 500 designs on offer, including many exclusives, from some of the world’s most dynamic manufacturers.

Whether for commercial, hospitality or high-end residential projects, the company has placed focus on developing its portfolio and services to provide architects and designers with the versatility to choose ceramic and porcelain tiles that meet the varying needs of their projects.

Not only does Parkside offer an impressive choice of off-the-shelf tile designs, but it also collaborates to create inventive interiors through waterjet cutting, colour matching and bespoke digital print. Combined with a team of specialists that have a long track-record in working with the design community, it’s a formidable combination of product and service that’s hard to ignore.

Parkside’s commitment to finding unique products from the world’s leading manufacturers, combined with its ability to provide additional services, has not gone unnoticed in the hospitality sector. Recently, the company has recorded a series of prestigious installations that exemplify its versatility, notably the refurbishment of The Bedford, London and Stansted Airport’s Radisson Blu.

At The Bedford, Parkside worked with the team at Concorde BGW to refurbish the celebrity haunt’s 15 en-suite bathrooms using marble-effect tiles from Hound and striking colours from its Lyrical range on the walls to create statement-making luxury. In a contrast of scale, at the impressive atrium of the Radisson Blu, Parkside provided large format 1200mm x 1200mm Kirigami tiles and used waterjet cutting on tiles from its Lido collection to create an arrow-shaped feature floor around the impressive wine tower bar.

As part of its mission to deliver distinctive tile surfaces, Parkside has recently launched two new collections that offer hospitality space designers two very different approaches to wall tiles – Arrange in collaboration with Tom Pigeon and Sequel Vibe, a handmade wall tile made from 98% recycled content.

In Arrange, Tom Pigeon has pared back traditional tile motifs into simple geometric shapes in seven colours that allow almost endless layout freedom. Capturing the design studio’s reputation for playful geometric design, designers can use the hand-decorated ceramic wall tiles to create modern reinterpretations of traditional repeating borders and panels, or purely abstract designs that bring striking geometric forms to feature walls.

For Sequel Vibe, launched at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week in its brand-new design studio that was recently shortlisted for a Design Week Award, Parkside has teamed with Alusid for a hand-made wall tile made from 98 per cent recycled content. In three organic colours and three size formats, Sequel Vibe uses waste glass and porcelain to create tiles with unique character and low environmental impact.

With product development such as this, as well as an extraordinary depth of out of the ordinary tiles, custom programmes and service that goes above and beyond, it’s easy to see how Parkside has become one of the hospitality industry’s brightest tile suppliers. And with its Cotswold design studio soon to open, the company shows little signs of slowing down.
