Loomlight Design Ltd is a UK-based specialist in reclaimed vintage and industrial lighting, supplying distinctive, character-led fixtures for hospitality, commercial, and residential interiors worldwide.

Founded in 2014 and operating from its workshop in Leicestershire, Loomlight has built a reputation for sourcing original industrial and maritime lighting from across the globe and restoring each piece by hand to modern electrical standards. Every fixture is carefully re-engineered using CE-certified or UL-listed components, ensuring suitability for contemporary environments while retaining the integrity and patina of the original design.

At the core of Loomlight’s approach is a commitment to preserving industrial heritage. Many of the company’s pieces began life in shipyards, factories, railways, and heavy industry —environments where durability and engineering quality were paramount. By reclaiming and restoring these fixtures, Loomlight extends their lifespan and reintroduces them into modern interiors, offering a sustainable alternative to mass-produced lighting.

Loomlight maintains long-standing relationships with trusted sourcing partners across global industrial and maritime regions, enabling access to large volumes of authentic vintage lighting. This established network allows the company to support both one-off statement pieces and larger-scale hospitality projects requiring consistency across multiple fixtures. Each piece is carefully selected and imported before undergoing full restoration in the UK, ensuring quality, safety, and suitability for commercial environments.

The collection spans wall lights, pendants, bulkheads, and large-scale feature lighting, alongside complementary objects such as marine clocks and antique binoculars. In addition to its restored vintage offering, Loomlight also designs and manufactures new lighting ranges inspired by industrial forms, developed through in-house engineering capabilities to meet the needs of contemporary projects.

Loomlight works closely with interior designers, architects, and business owners to supply lighting that enhances spatial identity. Its fixtures have been specified across a range of projects—from restaurants and hotels to residential schemes—where authentic materials and considered lighting play a key role in shaping atmosphere and narrative. The business also offers bespoke adaptation and customisation, enabling clients to tailor finishes, configurations, and mounting solutions to suit specific project requirements.

Sustainability is embedded in the company’s ethos. By prioritising reclamation, restoration, and long-life design, Loomlight supports a circular approach to product lifecycle—reducing waste while preserving historically significant pieces of industrial design.

Now also home to the Skinflint Lighting collection, Loomlight continues to expand its offering while maintaining a focus on craftsmanship, provenance, and timeless design. Each piece is not only functional but carries a story—connecting past and present through thoughtful restoration and considered specification.
