Following many years working in the hospitality industry and being a restaurant owner, Michaela built the KAI team. The team consists of passionate designers who create interesting and immersive interiors for clients and customers to enjoy. We continue to design innovative spaces, constantly pushing boundaries and thinking outside of the box, as well as using our knowledge of the operational aspects of running F & B businesses.
We pride ourselves on excellent client relations, working with a range of budgets and exceeding expectation with fresh ideas and strong concepts. With a strong background knowledge of the operational requirements in a hospitality setting, we are experts in finding solutions that work.

At KAI, we specialise in both independent businesses, creative chains and residential interiors. We have a strong interest in bespoke details, giving your restaurant, bar, cafe or home a unique design identity. Our portfolio ranges from railway arch breweries to culture rich cafés, sumptuous cocktail bars to sophisticated restaurants with Michelin starred chefs. By keeping our focus on completely unique design stories for each client, we produce truly versatile and personal finished interiors.

From the outset, we have focused mainly within the commercial sector, developing an individual style. This has attracted residential clients, who want something a little different within their home. We have enjoyed working with Battersea Power Station, where we have been appointed as one of the top Residential Interior Designers for the apartments and penthouses in the development. An exciting addition to the business within the past couple of years has been our work on hotel interiors. We recently completed the Dar Jasmine Hotel in Morocco, working with local craftspeople to ensure every element from lighting to tiling is bespoke and handcrafted.
Good design is not the only key to capturing the right clientele, it also acts as a vital marketing tool for our clients. We understand how considered-creativity creates a buzz about spaces, maximising social presence and allowing your business to thrive.
