With a history reaching back more than 260 years, Latham’s have always been innovators. The brand consistently pushes the boundaries of materials selection, from its origins in timber products, panels and doors, through to the modern day, where it sits as one of the sector’s most recognised suppliers of cutting-edge materials technologies, including decorative laminates, veneers, thermoplastics and acrylics.

A pioneer of innovative solutions to support its clients, it has recently launch two powerful new tools to support architects, designers, specifiers and material users: The Carbon Calculator and the Digital Showroom.

The Carbon Calculator, developed in collaboration with the University of Bangor, has been created to enable specifiers better understand the carbon impact of products they select. Both carbon footprint and biogenic carbon content shown on key documentation such as quotations, delivery notes and invoices, meaning users can fully understand the carbon impact of the products they choose.

The Digital Showroom, launched in April 2022, is  a powerful new online platform which takes material selection to the next level, offering the same experience of visiting a physical showroom, and more. Developed specifically for specifiers, it allows for maximum creativity, enabling users to mix and match almost any scheme, style or palate. With access to hyper-realistic, interactive 3D models of over 1,400 of the distributor’s surfaces and finishes it takes the user on an intuitive journey, to explore every surfacing possibility across a single commission, or multiple projects.

People are as important as the company’s product ranges. Experienced industry professionals teamed with specialist product managers mean James Latham can offer solutions and advice in the most challenging of applications.
