Roman, the UK’s leading shower manufacturer and designer, has been busy raising funds for their chosen charity, Options, and have handed over a cheque for over £1,500. This is the latest cheque in a series of funds raised by the staff at Roman.The Options project provides support to young adults with learning and/or physical disabilities. Roman have worked to help this project for some time and selected the group as their chosen charity back in 2009.
Roman staff have undertaken a number of fundraising activities throughout 2010 to raise these latest funds. These included a Quiz Night, a Xmas raffle, a World Cup raffle, an auction and a dress down day.
Roman has an employee Charity Committee set up who think up and coordinates the different fundraising activities.
David Osborne, Managing Director and head of the Charity Committee commented: “It’s great that our staff have been so dedicated and managed to once again raise so much money for our chosen charity. Options were nominated as our chosen charity in 2009 – in that year we managed to raise over £2000 in funds. We feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to work closely with a locally based charity like Options, who are working towards such a worthwhile cause.”
