Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa has embarked on a $30 million (£18.5 million) renovation project, with all guest rooms and suites being completely refurbished, in addition to the property’s inviting open-air lobby, casino and meeting facilities.

Capitalising on its distinctive architecture and design, originally masterminded by the renowned Morris Lapidus in the late 1950s, Radisson’s new furniture, fixtures and facing aim to recapture the retro period from its inception.

The hotel’s trademark Colonial West Indian four-poster, mahogany beds are being upgraded and will serve as inviting centrepieces for each room and suite. Tropical-inspired art will adorn the freshly painted walls, while terraces will be equipped with state-of-the-art insulating sliding glass doors.

The refurbishment of the first building, Bonaire Tower, has been completed and the Curacao Tower will be concluded by the end of March. The Aruba Tower will be the final building to close for renovation, from the beginning of April through September this year.
