Holiday Inn Palm Springs has become one of seven lodging properties in Palm Springs, California to receive the Green Eco-Leaf Rating.Currently seven hotels in Palm Springs have been rated environmentally friendly, and Holiday Inn Palm Springs is one of seven lodging properties to complete the comprehensive environmental audit administered by iStayGreen.org. The property earned two Green Eco-Leafs, which is a ‘Good’ rating.
All Green Eco-Leaf Rated properties are committed to environmentally friendly initiatives.
iStayGreen.org, founder Richard Varner said: “Simple changes helped Holiday Inn Palm Springs earn their 2 Green Eco-Leaf Rating and become one of 7 lodging properties rated. It’s great to see they’re intent on insuring a more sustainable future in travel.”
To insure a more sustainable future some of the eco-initiatives put in-place at the property include low energy lighting initiatives are in-place, sheets reuse option for multiple night stays, towels reuse option for multiple night stays, eco-initiatives are actively promoted to the public, water conservation initiatives are in-place, water conserving devices are installed when replacing old fixtures, reusable food and beverage service is used in lieu of disposable service items, and more.
Hotels in Palm Springs are becoming progressively greener. In addition to the Holiday Inn Palm Springs, the other seven lodging properties awarded are Holiday Inn Palm Springs, Renaissance Palm Springs, Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs, 7 Springs Inn and Suites, Best Western Inn at Palm Springs, Travelodge Palm Springs E Palm and Desert Vacation Villas.
