On May 12, the Majestic Barrière hotel in Cannes, France will reopen after an extensive renovation.HotelDesigns recently wrote about the work being carried out in the hotel and now we can reveal a few sneak peak photos of the changes.
After two years of renovation and embellishment, this palatial hotel is now ready to reveal its new wing, with additional premises of 10,000sqm, 44 new suites incuding two duplexes of 450sqm, a spa of 450sqm and 1,500sqm of luxury boutiques.
The atmosphere of the Cannes Film Festival will provide the backcloth for the inauguration of the new Majestic which, on this occasion, will host the opening dinner of the 63rd International Film Festival.
A show will mark this moment and at the end of the screening of the inaugural film, the evening will begin with an outdoor show revealing all the beauty of the Majestic Barrière.
Live performances projected onto a wall completely wrapped in a veil of silk is to include 3D technolody.
