Tricia Guild’s riot of colour and pattern enters a new chapter, as Sanderson Design Group takes the reins of Designers Guild wallpapers, fabrics and paint under a 10-year global licence…
Sanderson Design Group announces a 10-year licensing agreement for Designers Guild wallpapers, fabrics, and paint. The agreement grants the Group sole global rights to design, manufacture, and sell these product categories under the Designers Guild brand, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for one of the most celebrated names in international interiors.
Founded by Tricia Guild, a creative pioneer whose design approach transformed the interiors market, Designers Guild has built a reputation for bold, artistic expression and an unmistakable creative identity. Today, it remains one of the world’s most recognised luxury interiors brands, admired for its rich heritage, distinctive aesthetic and enduring influence on contemporary interiors.
Under the agreement, the Group will steward the future development of Designers Guild wallpapers, fabrics, and paint, drawing on the brand’s extensive archive and existing collections while creating new products for a global audience. The Group will immediately replenish existing best-sellers to fulfil demand, and an initial stock package will be available shortly on the trade site.
Designers Guild is an exceptional addition to the Group’s portfolio of luxury brands. The partnership represents a unique opportunity to expand upon the brand’s creative heritage, reinvigorate iconic designs from the archive, and build the offering for a global audience.
Dunelm Group PLC has been focused on preserving and developing the future of the Designers Guild brand since its initial acquisition in April 2025. Sanderson Design Group is proud that, as a leader in luxury interiors, the new licensing agreement enables it to shape that future as of today.
Lisa Montague, Chief Executive Officer of Sanderson Design Group, said: “As an internationally recognised brand with exceptional design heritage and a distinctive creative identity, Designers Guild makes an excellent addition to our portfolio of brands and a clear strategic fit with our business.” “This Agreement also reflects the significant progress we have made in reshaping and strengthening the Group. The structural changes implemented across the business have created a more focused, resilient and international platform with the design expertise, specialist manufacturing and global distribution network to support and develop outstanding interiors brands. As the market continues to evolve and consolidate, we believe this positions the Group strongly to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.”
Designers Guild wallpapers, fabrics, and paint developed under the Agreement will be manufactured through Sanderson Design Group’s production network, including its Anstey site in Loughborough, Standfast & Barracks in Lancaster, and a trusted network of supplier partners. Products will be distributed internationally through the Group’s global network of interior designers, wholesale partners and omnichannel digital channels.
