The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, announces the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Downtown. The property featuring 220 rooms is scheduled to open in early 2011. It is Rezidor’s 4th Radisson Blu Hotel in the Emirate – the group already manages the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, the Radisson Blu Residence, Dubai Marina, and the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Media City. Dubai Downtown is the new hub of Dubai hosting top attractions including the tallest tower in the world, one of the world’s largest malls, Dubai Mall, the waterfall promenade and Souk Al Bahar. The hotel also borders Business Bay, a mega project covering an area of 6 million square meters, which is designed to be the new centre of Dubai commerce. Key destinations including Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai International and Exhibition Centre, and Dubai International Financial Centre (the world’s fastest growing international financial centre) are within a few minutes’ drive from the hotel’s site.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Downtown will be located on the upper floors of a mixed used building located at walking distance from Dubai Mall and 10 kilometres from the international airport. It comprises 198 contemporary rooms and 22 suites – all equipped with Radisson Blu signature services such as free high speed internet access. Guests will also benefit from an all day dining-restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a pub, 2 bars (including a rooftop pool bar), and a sophisticated Business Class Lounge. Meeting facilities will include 6 conference rooms, 2 board rooms, and a business centre – and for those combining business and leisure travel, the hotel will have a swimming pool and a gym/spa.

Some rooms will offer breathtaking views of Burj Khalifa, with 828 metres the world’s tallest tower which was completed in early 2010. The tower is within walking distance – as well as Dubai Mall featuring 1,200 retail outlets, a 220-store Gold Souk, and more than 150 food and beverage outlets.
