Marriott International has recently celebrated the opening of the 383-room Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel in Shanghai. The hotel is managed in partnership with Shanghai Caohejing Park Huagang Properties Ltd., and represents the sixth Renaissance-branded hotel to open the city. Renaissance Hotels is the signature lifestyle brand within the Marriott International global portfolio of 17 hotel brands. The hotel is centrally located in the Caohejing New Technology Development Zone in the Xuhui district, offering a retreat for business travellers in the heart of the neighbourhood. Situated within five minutes of Shanghai Metro Line 9, the hotel boasts easy access to the nearby Hongqiao business district, and the shopping and dining hub of Xujiahui. The hotel is also conveniently located near the Hongqiao Transportation Hub and Shanghai International Airport.

The Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing offers 383 Deluxe Rooms, Club Rooms and Suites, including the Presidential Suite. Rooms are stylishly warm and vibrant and packed full of five-star amenities and technology: fully-wired and equipped to accommodate both business and leisure guests. The area’s first international hotel, the Renaissance balances a mix of traditional Chinese décor fused with a contemporary Western feel. The hotel’s chic and spacious interiors with elevated ceilings and expansive windows provide plenty of natural light and a relaxing, spacious environment. With 14 meeting room options of varying sizes including a divisible, pillar-free 570m2 Grand Ballroom, the hotel offers the setting for meetings, special events and dream weddings in the area.

Four destination restaurants and the hotel lounge deliver the best in local and international cuisine from quick snacks and leisurely afternoons of ‘Sip & Savour,’ to family gatherings and fine dining. Wanli, the hotel’s signature Chinese fine-dining restaurant, offers Cantonese and Shanghainese delicacies, while its ten private dining rooms (seating of up to 20 guests) boasts East-meets-West features of modern design entwined with local history and elements of feng shui.

Smoki Moto is a modern, casual and cosmopolitan restaurant offering Korean BBQ, sushi and teppanyaki favorites and signature Sojo cocktails. The hotel’s all-day dining spot, Café BLD, is a new take on Renaissance Hotel’s three-meal restaurant serving the best of local and international favourites prepared in an open kitchen. The Lounge offers a cool transformation from morning to evening where you can sample afternoon tea and discover the best in fine wines and “R” cocktails in the evening, while enjoying live music as part of RLife LIVE, the Renaissance brand’s renowned entertainment program.

The 24-hour Fitness Center is equipped with the latest in cardiovascular equipment, free weights, and an indoor swimming pool. Qualified personal trainers are on hand to assist guests, along with a full complement of amenities including steam room and sauna.

For guests up for a bit of well-deserved pampering, the Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing redefines the R&R experience with its very own wellness sanctuary featuring TOUCH SPA – professional facilities providing luxurious body and beauty rituals in seven private treatment rooms.
