Hotel Designs is set to take the Hotel Designs Meet Up brand to Manchester this 18 July, and we would love to offer you complimentary attendance to the event.

Our Meet Up concept is hugely successful and one which always sells out. If you are based in the north of the UK or otherwise and are interested in an evening which includes drinks and canapés in Manchester’s trendy King Street Townhouse contact us now. The Hotel Designs Meet Up North takes place at the King Street Townhouse, in central Manchester on 18 July.

And Hotel Designs is delighted to announce Marca Corona as headline sponsor of the event.

The Meet Up in Manchester will follow the same format as our London editions and take place from 6-9.30 p.m. Guests, including hoteliers, designers, architects and hospitality industry suppliers are invited to attend the event to forge valuable professional relationships.

A raft of industry giants have revealed they are attending our Hotel Designs Meet Up, a celebration event for the hotel industry who will talk about their successes overshare food and drinks and celebrate their successes.

Dyson, Bang & Olufsen, Nobu, Dorchester Collections, Russell Sage Studio, AccorHotels and Firmdale Hotels will all be in attendance at our event, held at the prestigious London EDITION Hotel in Fitzrovia.

The hotel features statement lighting by eminent international designer Patrick Woodroffe, a recent winner of the WhatsOnStage award for Best Lighting for his production of Bat Out Of Hell, and designer of the lighting for Michael Jackson’s This Is It tour.

In addition, Hotel Designs Meet Up March 2018 is delighted to welcome its keynote speaker, Gilly Craft, who as well as being President elect of the British Institute of Interior Design, runs her own award-winning multi-disciplinary design and architecture firm, Koubou Interiors.

Gilly will bring her kaleidoscopic knowledge of interior design and architecture to the Meet Up, where industry buyers and suppliers meet to do business and discuss the latest trends.

Two hundred interior designers, hoteliers and industry suppliers have already signed up to attend the event, which takes place on March 21st at the London EDITION Hotel in Fitzrovia. The boutique hotel blends thoughtful design and intuitive service featuring custom lighting by Patrick Woodroffe.

“My agency, Koubou Interiors, has 14 years of experience in taking a uniquely personalised approach with our clients, from their initial ideas, to our final execution”.

Gilly trained at the Regent Academy, which she graduated from with a distinction, before a foray into tutoring interior design. She went on to found Koubou Interiors in 2004, an agency which has flourished and become award-winning thanks to a personalised approach.

Gilly is also proudly President elect of the British Institute Of Interior Design. Her holistic approach to hotel design, and her ability to see the industry from all angles, will no doubt make for a scintillating speech.

Hotel Designs Meet Up enables wi-Q Technologies to land giant UK hotel tech deal

An emerging hospitality technology company have secured a deal with a leading hotel group, thanks to a relationship built and maintained at the Hotel Designs Meet Up.

Technology brand Wi-Q deliver web-app mobile ordering solutions to help streamline the payment processes in the hospitality sector. After attending the Hotel Designs Meet up at Home House, London, the brand secured a deal with a leading hotel group and the app is already live in one flagship London hotel.

Wi-Q is a “web-based mobile ordering allows your customers to browse, order and pay for your products or services, without having to download a dedicated native mobile ordering app”.

From a chance conversation to live technology in a matter of weeks

Talking of the plans for global expansion, Wi-Q gushed: “We went from a chance conversation over a glass of wine, to mobilisation and live technology in place in one of the world’s leading hotel chains in less than eight weeks!”

The brand explained further: “The Hotel Designs Meet Up was a busy event, with delegates from a range of sectors and services. We spent some time chatting with an events team from a major global hotel chain, and they were really excited about our solution”.

Despite launching a week ago, the Hotel Designs Meet Up 2018 is already filling up fast with a huge increase in registrants.

The event will see a number of interior designers and architects attend, from companies including the likes of ABDA Design, Elektra Lighting Design, Gensler, Gregory Phillips Architects, Osborn Interiors, ReardonSmith Architects and more.
