As a centrepiece of The Chedi Club in Bali, the Hadiprana Villa has reopened following a complete refurbishment. The two-bedroom villa features private en-suites and secluded, sunken outdoor Jacuzzi. A spacious deck provides ample room for sun-worshipers and a 645-square-foot swimming pool is the focal point of this particular villa.
Equipped with a beautiful collection of art and artefacts and contemporary Balinese furniture, this private residence is “a sanctuary within a sanctuary” according to the hotel’s general manager, Alain Bachmann. “The place turned out so well, I’m not sure there wasn’t a little magic stirred into all that carpentry.”
One of Indonesia’s foremost architects and art patrons, Hadiprana built the property as a family estate in the early 1980s before the luxury hotel group GHM assumed stewardship in 2004.
