2015 is set to be a pivotal year for Fameed Khalique with the announcement of a new West London showroom, and confirmation of the company’s relocation from its current Clerkenwell base. Fameed Khalique was appointed to join the international panel of expert judges for the Perspective magazine A&D Trophy Awards in Hong Kong, December 2014. Sitting alongside illustrious members of the design industry such as Ilse Crawford, Founder of Studioilse and Sacha Walckhoff, Creative Director of Christian Lacroix, the Awards provided a dynamic meeting of design minds to celebrate excellence in architecture, interior design and product design across Asia-Pacific and beyond.
Fameed Khalique’s acclaimed library of surface collections and exceptional sourcing service were recognised at several prestigious design industry awards including nominations for Support Services at the SBID Awards, Studio of the Year at the ALTO Awards and 100% recycled Aluminium Floor Tiles for the Surfaces category at the FX Awards, 2014.
In addition, a beautiful example of bespoke inlaid wood flooring, created for a Fabled Studio retail design project at the Penhaligon’s flagship store in Hong Kong has just recently been shortlisted for the Surface Design Awards 2015, winners to be announced at the Surface Design Show 12th February.
