The four-star Cedar Court Hotel, Wakefield is celebrating the completion of a major re-development plan which has seen its facilities modernised, with increased comfort and style for guests. In the latest stage of the £500,000 investment, which has previously seen the refurbishment and upgrading of 66 bedrooms and two of the hotel’s conference rooms, the lounge area has been extensively re-styled. Employing a palette of modern colours and trends, the hotel has created a versatile, contemporary space in which guests can enjoy casual dining as well as daily tea and coffee servings.

With the removal of a small meeting room providing easier access to the grounds at the rear of the property and an increased number of windows to both the front and back letting in more natural light, the new lounge layout is already a hit with both corporate visitors and guests enjoying a Yorkshire getaway with their families.

Beyond the physical transformation, Cedar Court Hotel, Wakefield is committed to forging further links with its locality and history – with the use of rhubarb in its menu one of many local connections promoted by the hotel.

Jonathan Pritchard, General Manager of Cedar Court Hotel, Wakefield commented:

“With numerous areas of the hotel already benefiting from improvements and re-design, it is fantastic to see the new lounge area now open and in use. Visitors have always enjoyed our high levels of customer care and now their stays will be further enhanced by these exciting changes”.

The development demonstrates the on-going commitment of Cedar Court Hotels, Yorkshire largest independent hotel collection, to ensuring all visitors receive the best of Yorkshire hospitality in hotels that are modern, well equipped and welcoming.
