IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has announced the relaunch of Crowne Plaza Hotel & Suites Minneapolis Airport, following a conversion from the Holiday Inn flag, which is also an IHG brand. Associated Hotels LLC invested $2 million in upgrades to serve Bloomington’s growing business district. The hotel added a Caribou Coffee oasis to the lobby and will continue to cater to groups and meetings with 18,000 square feet of meeting space and the Crowne Plaza’s signature comprehensive meetings program. The Crowne Plaza Hotel & Suites Minneapolis Airport boasts 430 contemporarily renovated guestrooms, including 120 junior suites, five bridal suites and one presidential suite. Guests can also enjoy Martels Restaurant and Lounge featuring savory, Americana fare and Caribou Coffee located in the lobby.
The hotel features an impressive 18,000 square feet of meeting space. The space can be configured into as many as 16 meeting rooms for smaller meetings and one ballroom for large events.
The hotel is located at 3 Appletree Square (at I-494 and 34th Ave.) near Minneapolis – St. Paul International Airport, 2.5 miles from the Best Buy campus, eight miles from downtown Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Convention Center and St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center. Companies located nearby include Unisys, Health Partners, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Toro and Ford Motors. The 13-story hotel is owned by Associated Hotels LLC, which owns six IHG properties, including the Crowne Plaza Englewood, located five miles from downtown Manhattan, and five Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels.
