Encouraged by recent successes in the cruise and passenger shipping marketplace, Chelsom will be exhibiting at Cruise Shipping Miami 2011, which is taking place from 14th – 17th March at the Miami Beach Convention Centre in Florida. Cruise Shipping Miami is the world’s most important and largest annual meeting for the cruise industry and attracts designers and operators from across the globe.
Chelsom has been designing and manufacturing high quality contract lighting for the hospitality, leisure and cruise shipping industries for over 60 years. With vast experience of creating exciting lighting schemes for major worldwide projects, and in-depth knowledge of the specific requirements of the marine industry, Chelsom is now a major supplier of cruise ship lighting.
Working with leading interior designers worldwide, Chelsom can take an idea from concept to completion and has in-house manufacturing facilities to produce one-off centrepiece fittings or large production runs. Chelsom understands the demands of the maritime industry and is skilled at adapting standard products to suit the seafaring environment.
Will Chelsom who heads up the cruise lighting division comments, “2010 was a great year for Chelsom in the cruise ship lighting marketplace, so we thought we’d put our toes in the water and participate in the Cruise Shipping Miami show as it is the leading international show for the cruise industry.
“Last year we appointed a specialist agent for the cruise lighting division, Debra Breslauer, who represents Chelsom with Miami based interior designers and ship operators, so we are delighted to be able to support her at the show by bringing along examples of specialist lighting for cruise ships.
“The Chelsom lighting collection has been really well received by the Miami-based cruise ship designers, so we are looking forward to bringing everybody up to date with our latest designs for cruise ship lighting.”
