Solid surface solutions built for hospitality
Since 1991, Velstone has been quietly shaping some of the hospitality sector’s most successful interiors. From bathroom vanity tops to reception desks, Velstone has become a trusted name for worksurfaces in the hotel environment. A British solid surface manufacturer with more than three decades of expertise, Velstone is a trusted partner for hotel designers, developers and contractors who need more than just product; they need a supplier who understands the unique pressures of hotel specification.

Velstone’s engineered solid surfaces are specified in leading hotel brands across the UK and Europe, including Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Point A and Fairfield by Marriott. Its reputation has been earned through a rare blend of design flexibility, technical know-how and an in-depth understanding of how hotel refurbishments truly work.

Hotel projects demand a different level of service. Tight timelines, phased installations, and operating hotels mean there is no room for delay or disruption. Velstone’s team knows this environment inside out. From day one, they work collaboratively with specifiers to ensure every detail, from colour and thickness to installation logistics, meets the project’s commercial and aesthetic demands.

This insight is matched by a product engineered for hotel performance. Velstone’s solid surface excels in durability, hygiene, repairability and seamless integration, making it ideal for high-use environments. Whether specified for guestroom vanities, bar counters, reception desks, buffet stations or public-area surfaces, it delivers a luxury finish designed to withstand the pace of hospitality.

Designers value the brand’s creative freedom too. Velstone offers limitless colour options, including the ability to colour-match any RAL or Dulux shade, along with bespoke thicknesses and custom shapes. This capability proved crucial on The Medlock, the landmark 243-room Manchester City Hotel developed in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group, where every bathroom worktop was manufactured at a non-standard 20mm thickness and perfectly colour-matched to the client’s branding.

But it is Velstone’s approach to delivery that truly sets it apart. Hotel refurbishments often open just a handful of rooms at a time, requiring a supplier who can work with patience, precision and coordination. Velstone’s team aligns seamlessly with this rhythm, ensuring consistent quality and reliable service across every phase of a project.

From boutique refurbishments to flagship new builds, Velstone continues to be the solid surface partner the hospitality sector counts on, combining durability, design freedom and decades of hotel-sector insight to create spaces that perform as beautifully as they look.
