I think that having the extra work is a waste of time UNLESS it’s personalized to their needs. Say if your daughter was struggling in math then having the extra time devoted to math would be a good use of her time and learning time management/ working on a project with a deadline after school is similar…but having work JUST to have work seems pointless unless you’re planning on preparing your kids for factory work. So basically it’s more about leaving homework in the hands of parents and students instead of teachers (either Parents can always help kids with homework at essay writing service) or by offering/creating student study groups…engaging the student as important factors in their education instead of just thinking of them as cookie cutter afterthoughts. Thus it would add taking responsibility over your own life and outcomes- and get parents more involved. What can you say on that matter? How else parents can get involved into process?
