As HotelDesigns enters its tenth year online it continues to build its archives and useful information for designers. In the last ten years there have been visits to over 200 hotels with still and video cameras in hand, to show the influence of the specialist hotel design profession on hospitality. We add breaking news to the area that is not available in the public area of the site including development news from hotels chains.New starts, hotels planned etc. are all feathured here In the process we have gathered to gether a host of things of interest to specialist hotel designers. All are in our fully searchable archives, and much is being distilled in images and a series set up as a Guide to Hotel Design.

The DesignClub not only has a growing searchable collection of interior photographs of hotels (some 17,000 interior photographs) but also 1,500 images of the town and cities they are in, including (for example) over 200 images of New York in 1976, Bicentennial Year.

Membership allows access to the Gallery of these images where all can be downloaded full size for personal use. Images cover brands such as Hilton, Kimpton, Intercontinental, Rezidor, Starwood, Accor, Louvre Group, Rocco Forte Hotels, Vienna International, Seymours, Shire Hotels, One&Only, Red Carnation, McGraw Collection and many more from 27 countries on 4 continents,

The Downloads area carries useful information such as guides for Fabric specification, the branding guides from some of the chain hotel groups,a guide to copyright, lighting specs and so on.

There is an Ask the Experts area where suppliers and other DesignClub members will try to answer your questions and problems solve with you.

With profiles of companies and designers, this is an area that is slowly but steadily growing into one of the webs important resources for designers. Many items of news are archived and only available to DesignClub members and exclusive access is possible to the Guide To Hotel Design, a ‘part work’ building week by week into a comprehensive look at what is involved in the interior design of hotels.

A full year membership costs about $50/£35 and makes the perfect last minute gift for a Designer or Client
